🏆 Design Awards
Through New Venture Design, an application-only entrepreneurship course at the University of British Columbia, I collaborated with three engineering students and two business students to tackle the time management challenges faced by individuals with ADHD.
Recognizing the lack of ADHD-specific solutions, we conducted 40 one-on-one interviews, gathered 270 survey responses, and consulted with four mental health professionals to explore the problem space and validate our solution. As the team designer and lead researcher, I worked with two teammates who have ADHD to synthesize our findings into clear design requirements.
Our efforts led to OnTrack, a time management app tailored for individuals with ADHD. By offering task flexibility and gamification, OnTrack aims to reduce the stress and anxiety linked to time management.
🏆 Received recognition as DesignRush's Best Task Management App Design
🏅 Earned the top product vote from our instructors and classmates
🎓 Achieved the highest grade in the course
📧 Attracted over 250 email subscribers interested in our product (unfortunately, our team decided not to continue with this project due to personal circumstances. Interested users were informed)
As the design lead, I worked with 2 designers and 3 developers to tackle the challenge of "How might we ensure that the EA app is adopted by its current users?" Using the Double Diamond Design Method and the technology adoption lifecycle, we pinpointed the core issue: negative reviews from early adopters were deterring the early majority, a significant market segment.
To address this, we created EA SharePlay, a solution that enables users to record game highlights and share them on personalized profiles, fostering a sense of community.
